Katowice. Puppets Exibition

At Galeria Ateneum you can see an exhibition of dolls from nine archival performances of the Silesian Puppet and Actor Ateneum Theater in Katowice, which delighted with their artistic form on stage and still delight - this time as impressively arranged, intriguing and inspiring exhibits. The exhibition is recommended to both children and adults and is open every day except Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00 to 15.00 till 19 th of August.The entrance is free.

Visitors will immerse themselves in the poetic atmosphere of Marcin Jarnuszkiewicz's original productions, realized in collaboration with Joanna Braun ("Andersen's Long Journey") and Katarzyna Proniewska-Mazurek ("The Heart"), they will remember "The Tailor Niteczka" and "The Parable of Happiness" (set for both titles were designed by the Slovak artist Eva Farkašov), "Ratcatcher" and the fairy tale "About Princess Wełence" (both performances in the artistic setting of the Lithuanian woman, Julia Skuratova), works by Czech artists - Tomáš Volkmer ("Pinocchio") and Pavel Hubička ("Sleeping Beauty" ) and Mickiewicz's "Ballady" from 1978 (set design by Janusz Pokrywka).
