Aleksandra Kurzak will perform in Krynica

Aleksandra Kurzak, star of world stages including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna Staatsoper and the Covent Garden in London; Iwona Sobotka, known for concerts on four continents, performing in such prestigious venues as: Berlin Philharmonic, Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall in New York; or Grażyna Brodzińska, the first lady of Polish operetta; as well as tenors: Arnold Rutkowski, Tomasz Kuk, Rafał Bartmiński, Dominik Sutowicz - these are only some of the stars who will perform at this year's 55th Festival. Jana Kiepura in Krynica-Zdrój. The festival will start on August the 6 th.

During the eight festival days, Krynica will become a singing city. It will reverberate - in the best performances - the greatest hits of vocal music. Numerous attractions have been planned, including opera and operetta galas, operetta and ballet performances, promenade concerts, recitals, as well as meetings with artists.

The most exciting thing is the extraordinary concert of Aleksandra Kurzak, one of the most outstanding Polish sopranos. The artist, who sings in Paris, London and Vienna, will also sing in Krynica, performing opera arias by such composers as Puccini, Rossini, Gounod, Charpentier and Dvořák. It will be a fantastic evening of the most famous hits, and it is worth adding that it will take place on the singer's birthday - August 7. The artist will be accompanied by the Silesian Chamber Orchestra in Katowice under the baton of Bassem Akkiki.

As prof. Tadeusz Pszonka, the artistic director of the 55th Festival of Jan Kiepura and the creator of the program underlined that this year's edition will not only be extremely interesting and diverse, but also very rich in stars and the most interesting performances from Poland and abroad.
