Quite unexpectedly, the pandemic became the first common global experience that affected every person on Earth in a more or less dramatic way. Fear and the mandatory requirements for isolation, separation, temporary or permanent, saying a farewell to the nearest and dearest, or the inability to say goodbye, have become a common experience. The performance by the Biuro Podróży Theatre is an artistic reaction to the sense of loneliness, parting, and longing. The performance recalls the fate of two timeless heroes: Orpheus and Eurydice. Their love is stronger than death. Unable to accept the loss of his beloved, Orpheus decides to find her. The mental picture of what might be on the other side of life is mixed up with reality here. Orpheus finds himself in a hell full of rats; he has to face his memories and dilemmas. In the performance, the earthly reality intertwines with the metaphysical underground world that manipulates time, truth and hope. What is real and what is a delusion? How will this journey end?
