Premiere of "Valkyrie" directed by Ewelina Marciniak

At the stage of the Bern Opera (Bühnen Bern) will take place premiere of "Valkyrie" directed by Ewelina Marciniak - the second part of f Richard Wagner's operatic tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen. It's another opera production of the Polish laureate of the most important German award theater award "Der Faust", also nominated in the survey "Opernwelt" critics in the category: Young generation artist of the year 2022. The premiere will take place on January 15.

After "Rhinegold" - a successful opera debut, highly appreciated by audience and the press - the Polish director continues her stage work a meeting with Richard Wagner's operatic tetralogy the subsequent parts of which will perform in the following opera seasons. In the upcoming the director focuses primarily on the points of contact a mythological saga with the present, putting it in the center of the staging family relations.

Ewelina Marciniak was accompanied by a group of regular associates, recognized creators. Responsible for the dramaturgy ( as in "Rhinegold") is Miron Hakenbeck, the choreography was prepared by Dominika Knapik, set design by Mirek Kaczmarek, costumes designed by Julia Kornacka.
