Call for Applications | MA in Dance Performance in Uniarts Helsinki
University of the Arts Helsinki Application period 8 – 22 January 2025 Please note that the application period ends at 3 pm (Finnish time.)
The Master’s Degree Programme in Dance Performance is a two-year, full-time residential programme that offers time and space for a diverse exploration of performance practices within the frameworks of dance and related contemporary art forms. The programme emphasises an artistic research-orientated approach to dance performance and embodied practices.
The studies offer a collegial platform for artistic experimenting and dialogue. During their studies, the student will build up and deepen skills and practice-based knowledge as a solo performer and an active and reflective member of an artistic working group.
The studies include collaboration with other degree programmes and a section of optional studies, which can be pursued in multiple ways, such as training in the professional field, courses at Uniarts Helsinki, or own artistic projects. The programme supports students’ professional development by fostering active dialogue and close collaboration with the dance field both locally and internationally.
We encourage applications from diverse cultural and experiential backgrounds. The primary language of the studies is English or Finnish, depending on the current student cohort.
