Cinema for Ukainian Viewers
A special film platform dedicated to Ukrainian audiences has been created. Both adults and children can watch films there. The offer is rich and varied - aimed at viewers of different ages and aesthetic tastes.
As organisers announced: We know that your heads and hearts are elsewhere right now: at the border, at the collections, with the people you are helping to find a new home. But we believe that cinema, even in such difficult times, is needed by people - above all as a mirror reflecting the reality it helps to understand. As the New Horizons Association, we have decided, together with distributors, to put together a film series called Cinema for Ukraine, the proceeds of which we will donate in full to the Rescue Foundation.
The set consists of films from New Horizons, friendly distributors and from the Children's Cinema Presents catalogue.
In the series for an adult audience, we have prepared films in which war is always somewhere nearby - further or closer, seemingly left hundreds of kilometres behind, but reminding us of itself day and night. A war that marks bodies and thoughts, that happens now or echoes years later. At the centre of these stories are often the heroes who fight with their attitude, art and even determination to lead ordinary lives, even in the face of danger.
