Piotr Mateusz Wach created the show, adapting "Hamlet" translated by Stanisław Barańczak and "HamletMachine" by Hainer Müller translated by Jacek Buras. An interesting translational connection, especially since the performance is based on the actor's movement and Szymon Dobosik's choreography.
Hamlet undergoes a transformation. He is a lost young man, he is afraid and his fears overpower him. He may be powerless, paranoid, panic-stricken and lust for revenge. The next stage is Hamlet as an actor who abandons the role and then becomes involved in it again. This Hamlet is also corporeal.
The show is a study of a body disciplined to the limit. It was shown on the verge of physical exhaustion, in extremes, in suffering.
How does Hamlet cope in a world obsessed with the spirit of war? This reality is a game, someone's toy. And our hero silently manifests his needs and desires, because he is Hamlet reduced. I need: some subcutaneous doubts and fear, some perversion and the darkest touch.
