"Brave New World" first stage production in Poland

"Brave New World" directed by Piotr Ratajczak is an adaptation of the famous novel by Aldous Huxley. According to its creators, the new spectacle of the Osterwa Theater (Lublin) will not leave anyone indifferent. Its dramatic adaptation was made by Magdalena Drab. The spectacle maintained in the atmosphere of science fiction is supposed to tell about the risks involved in subordinating to the system or focusing on consumerism and convenience.

The performance, directed by Ratajczak, is a sensual spectacle, full of movement and music. Osterwa's actorstogether with dancers, and the set design costumes in the retro futuristic style create the atmosphere of a world from the future, although created almost a hundred years ago. The director creates a sensual world on the stage of the Osterwa Theatre, absorbing with compulsive sound, movement and light, entered by actors accompanied by professional dancers. Tobiasz Berg supervises the entire choreography, and Kamil Tuszyński is responsible for the musical compositions. Set designs in the convention of retro futurism were created by Marcin Chlanda, and costumes are prepared by Dorota Gaj - Woźniak from the Mixer Group. The form and content of the performance will certainly find viewers among young people. For their parents' generation, Brave New World is an appealing adaptation of a literary classic that remains relevant today. This unique spectacle will have its premiere on February 4 at 19:00 on the stage of the Teatr im. Juliusz Osterwa in Lublin. On February 9, the Academic Premiere of the performance will take place, combined with a meeting with the creators and invited guests.
