What is this course?
Exploring the relationship between body, text, voice, and movement. Participants will learn the anatomy of the human body, discover embryological patterns and try discovering new bodily sensations that can be used in everyday life or on stage.
What does this course consist of?
The course is divided into two parts: lectures and training. During the lectures, participants will learn how the human body is formed, look at the early stages of development and study the embodiment of the anatomy of movement, voice and emotions. The course is based on the lectures and practice of Elena Morozova, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Anton Adasinsky and the work carried out in Studio Kokyu.
During the training, participants will use the information acquired during the theoretical part, explore their bodies, focus on bodily sensations and add their own knowledge to the artistic vocabulary. They will also discover new ways of working with text and voice, connecting the body with the voice, voice with movement, movement with text, etc. Participants are expected to bring their own texts, songs, or other artistic materials with which they would like to work or use selected elements offered by the course leader.
Who is it for?
The course may be useful both for people whose work is related to acting and for those who have little or no artistic background and are just starting this type of adventure.
The course is intended for a group of up to 15 people.
